Did anyone solder an MMCX coax connector to an iC880A-SPI?

Has anyone soldered an MMCX coax connector like below directly on the iC880A-SPI? I need to avoid using a pigtail cable (just another RF radiation source) but I’m not sure that just soldering the connector does the trick. The PCB might need to be modified some more…

I asked IMST about this some time ago. Here is the quote from IMST:

For using SMA, you need to remove the green marked component and solder it to the red marked position (see picture below) and solder the SMA connector.

There should be no difference in performance. We decided to use u.fl, as most of our customers integrate the concentrator in a gateway and then the SMA is too big.

Old topic, however the only mention I can find of this.

I tried performing the instructions to move it over however lost it. Does anyone know what the component is and the value? (I’m guessing its 0603 in size) so i can order a replacement

IMST Got back to me

Its a 68pF, 0402 2% Ceramic cap 50V Rated.

They used code C1005NP0680JGTS however farnells closest was C0402C680G5GACTU
